About Us

The ultimate goal at Art of Dance Salado is to combine the wellness aspects of professional dance instruction with age appropriate music, emotion, and creative expression. Our students not only learn to express and create art with their movement, they also learn how dancing helps and heals the body and mind.

Whether a student chooses to dance for recreation or professional purposes, scientific studies have consistently shown that dance benefits the body, and undeniably improves brain health. Children and adults who dance regularly  enhance sensory awareness, improve cognition, consciousness, memory, and strengthen neuronal connections.  In the elderly, dance is the only physical activity that lowers the risk of dementia.

Because dancing  stimulates the “reward” center of the brain while activating sensory and motor circuits, it can help relieve stress, anxiety, and depression.

At Art of Dance Salado we will continually strive to provide a safe, creative place for students of all ages to explore, be inspired, grow, and heal through dance and musical movement.
